Agulhas NPark eBulletin
The Human family of Black Oystercatcher Wines has a special connection with the Agulhas National Park. They have sold a special holiday site that was in the family for about 44 years to SANParks in 2001. This site is where the Agulhas Rest Camp is today.

We are looking for a Chef for Black Oystercatcher Restaurant. Location : 27 km outside Bredasdorp on Elim Road. Chef who is strong in all the areas of the kitchen and will be responsible for running and managing the kitchen effectively. Closing date: 31 Oct 2014
Red-chested Flufftail
Birdwatching in the Overberg. During the past weekend Dr Wim de Klerk saw the Red-chested Flufftail (Rooiborsvleikuiken) op nearby wine farm, Strandveld Vineyards. “Hierdie spesie kom waarskynlik wyd voor in die park en SMA, maar word nie aangeteken nie omdat hy so skelm is.”
Braai Day Recipe
The perfect addition to your Braai day Menu… Instead of using traditional chutney, spread it on your braai broodjie to spice things up. Baste your tjops just before removing from the coals or serve as a side sauce. It will even work over mieliepap instead of smoor.

Buffalo sale on the Agulhas Plain
Four buffalo belonging to the Nuwejaars Wetland Special Management Area have been sold. The SMA reintroduced buffalo to the Agulhas Plain for the first time in more than 200 years. With numbers steadily increasing, the Agulhas Plain has once again become a source of disease-free buffalo.
