Are you a wine lover who is sales driven, enjoys interacting with people and wants to be part of a close-knit, successful, established family business in the beautiful surrounds of the Agulhas Plain? 

If so, then the newly created, dynamic position as our Front of House and Tasting Room Coordinator could be for you. 

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting wine tastings, developing a list of high-value clients, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of wine, excellent communication skills, and the ability to establish lasting relationships with new and exciting clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct wine tastings for customers, providing detailed information on wine and region.
  • Develop and maintain a list of high-value clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all clients, assisting with wine selection, purchase, and any inquiries they may have.
  • Work closely with the other team members to achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the business.
  • Keep up-to-date with current wine trends and industry news to effectively educate and inform clients.
  • Participate in regular training sessions and workshops to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Assist in maintaining the store’s visual appearance and merchandising, ensuring an inviting and organized environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including inventory management and wine marketing events.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a sales or customer service role, preferably within the wine or hospitality industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of wine
  • Wine certification, such as WSET, CMS, or similar, is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with customers on wine topics.
  • Strong sales skills, with a proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Flexible schedule, with the ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends ,public Holidays ,school holidays and evenigs.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, providing support and assistance as needed.
  • High level of professionalism and a strong commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience.
