Dad also deserves to be spoilt a little. So that’s what we’ve got planned at the Black Oystercatcher this weekend – including some of Dad’s favourite meals.
We’ve renamed it: Father’s Day Long Weekend (we’re not sure one day is enough). And we’re also open on Friday, 16 June – Youth Day; providing a space for fathers and their children to enjoy together.
On Sunday (Father’s Day itself), there’s a set menu – specially selected to warm every Dad’s heart.
Here’s what you can expect.
As a starter (plated and served):
Creamy Spinach & Feta Soup served with Fresh Bread (R 55)
OR
Smoked Trout Salad with Papaya and Basil Pesto Cream Cheese (R 60)
OR
Half Shell Mussels in a creamy White Wine Sauce served with Parmesan Toast (R 60)
Then as a main meal (this is served at the table, and is dished by guests) (R 200):
Coronation Chicken:
This is a deboned Chicken Breast with the skin on in a light Curry Sauce with Sultanas, topped with fresh Coriander and roasted Almonds served on steamed Jasmine Rice.
Leg of Lamb Carvery:
Expect a tasty Slow Roasted Leg of Lamb.

Seasonal Roasted Vegetables
