Lamb spit, homemade breads, tasty salads – these are some of the ways we’re marking Heritage Day.

On Sunday, 24 September, we’re changing up our menu for the day. So you can enjoy our fresh (from the garden, to the table), buffet-style lunch.


Here’s the menu for our Heritage Day celebrations:

For the starters, taste our selection of fresh, homemade breads from the Bread Table. Roosterkoek, potbrood and a variety of jams are all included.

For the main menu, enjoy the Lamb Spit. The Black Oystercatcher Kitchen will also craft a number of salad favourites, including:

  • Potato salad
  • Three Bean Salad
  • Pumpkin pie
  • Green Garden Salad
  • Pickled Beetroot Salad

To complete the meal, there’s a very full Dessert Table. Here you’ll taste desserts such as:

  • Peppermint crisp
  • Melktert
  • Koeksisters

As usual, Black Oystercatcher Wines and Fraser’s Folly Craft Beer will pair perfectly with your meal.

And you can sit back, and enjoy the venue, and of course the views, from the veranda and restaurant.
