For the first time, we’ve seen the 6 hippo together in the Waagschaalvlei! They seem to have adapted well and have started breeding. Five hippo were reintroduced to the area by the Nuwejaars SMA in 2010. The new calf become the first hippo to be born on the Agulhas Plain in about 150 years. We’re so happy they are doing so well!
