Wedding | Suzanne & Mercer
Transforming our venue into a floral wonderland
On an autumn day in May, family and friends from came together at the Black Oystercatcher Wines to celebrate the special day of Suzanne and Mercer.
With a team of handy friends and family, they transformed the venue into a floral wonderland: covered in white and green with a touch of silver.
This was quite a local affair, with the couple enjoying a home base in Struisbaai. And this made for the perfect launchpad for family and friends to come together to celebrate the couple’s special day in an intimate fashion (not to forget the hearty accompanying meals). Attention to décor-detail made this wedding a very special affair.

Guests sat down to a ‘family’ feast with dinner served in a Sunday family-lunch style.
The Black Oystercatcher is one of the prettiest venues that we looked at and marrying here was definitely the best choice we could make.
Their roots may be deep in the Strandveld. But Luzanne & Dane made their wedding an international affair.
Our Wedding Venue
The wedding venue with a difference
We added a new venue to our centuries-old farmstead in 2016. It’s a venue that merges perfectly with the rich Overberg country: glass doors and windows all around, connecting you to nature.
Exposed brick walls, wooden beams, and a large veranda leading out to the infinity pool. And beyond that, the stretching Agulhas Plain countryside. Find out more.
