By Bea & Paul

The Black Oystercatcher is one of the prettiest venues that we looked at and marrying here was definitely the best choice we could make. We could not have asked for a better venue to host our ceremony. Not only did we have the perfect setting, but Sandra and Salmon went out of their way to accommodate us. They provided everything we asked for.

The food was excellent and almost all our guests told us how much they enjoyed the meal. The venue was beautifully decorated. Even so, it’s not necessary to have too much décor, given that the venue is already eye-catching.

The party (after the formalities had concluded) was extremely important for us, and the Black Oystercatcher creates the ideal party opportunity with its wonderful veranda, transformed into a dance floor.

It has been a while since I have experienced people having such a good time at a wedding – and that’s thanks to the excellent venue and Sandra and Salmon’s hospitality.

The Black Oystercatcher wines and craft beer are also excellent, and that added to the fact that people enjoyed the wedding.

We couldn’t have asked for a better venue, and in hindsight, there’s absolutely nothing we would change. Thank you, Black Oystercatcher.

Our Wedding Venue

The wedding venue with a difference

We added a new venue to our centuries-old farmstead in 2016. It’s a venue that merges perfectly with the rich Overberg country: glass doors and windows all around, connecting you to nature.

Exposed brick walls, wooden beams, and a large veranda leading out to the infinity pool. And beyond that, the stretching Agulhas Plain countryside. Find out more.
