Wedding | Inneke & Andrew

Cheer and vibrancy defines this wedding

Inneke and Andrew based their wedding theme on happy, vibrant colours. And that’s exactly how they transformed the Black Oystercatcher venue for their wedding day in December 2021. “The flowers were cheerful and bright and definitely put a smile on our faces,” says Inneke.

Not even a windy morning could dampen the mood, with the colourful atmosphere proving to be “breath-taking” for the guests.

Inneke says, “Our wedding day was the best day of our lives. From the ceremony through to the end of the day, we experienced so much joy and love every moment of the day.” Her favourite part of the wedding? Firstly, the praise and worship in the church, and of course the couple’s first dance on the Black Oystercatcher dance floor.

The food was catered by Antoinette Events. “The food was perfectly done, and Nicky was so helpful with everything.”

And Megan and I Photography captured every moment of the day to perfection. “We are very blessed that they were our photographers,” she says.

The Black Oystercatcher is one of the prettiest venues that we looked at and marrying here was definitely the best choice we could make.

Our Wedding Venue

The wedding venue with a difference

We added a new venue to our centuries-old farmstead in 2016. It’s a venue that merges perfectly with the rich Overberg country: glass doors and windows all around, connecting you to nature.

Exposed brick walls, wooden beams, and a large veranda leading out to the infinity pool. And beyond that, the stretching Agulhas Plain countryside. Find out more.
