We’re a few weeks into the new growing season, and in the vineyards we’re busy with a process called suckering (“suier” in Afrikaans). This is an important part of vineyard management because we are shaping the vine and adjusting the crop load for the new season’s harvest, to ensure that our vineyards will produce at optimum yield and grapes of the highest quality.
