Wedding | Niki & Rinus
Down to earth, encapsulating the essence of the couple: adventurous and overflowing with young love
Black Oystercatcher played host to the wedding day of the vibrant Niki and Rinus earlier in 2019. For their special day, the couple enlisted the help of family and friends to create a truly unique occasion.
The décor was down to earth, encapsulating the essence of the couple: adventurous and overflowing with young love. There were notable botanical elements included, and in particular, Fynbos themes (with Proteas and other fresh and dried Fynbos on the tables). The detail was amazing, with embroidered serviettes for each guest.
Guests sat down to a ‘family’ feast with dinner served in a Sunday family-lunch style.

If it rains on your wedding day, then you’ve been showered with blessings.
The Black Oystercatcher is one of the prettiest venues that we looked at and marrying here was definitely the best choice we could make.
Their roots may be deep in the Strandveld. But Luzanne & Dane made their wedding an international affair.
Our Wedding Venue
The wedding venue with a difference
We added a new venue to our centuries-old farmstead in 2016. It’s a venue that merges perfectly with the rich Overberg country: glass doors and windows all around, connecting you to nature.
Exposed brick walls, wooden beams, and a large veranda leading out to the infinity pool. And beyond that, the stretching Agulhas Plain countryside. Find out more.
