Wedding | Neil & Christel
A fynbos-inspired family wedding
Our Black Oystercatcher venue played host to a fynbos-inspired family wedding, which captured the essence of Neil and Christel perfectly.
This romantic celebration brought the whole family together (even from as far as Namibia) to bring this dream day to life. It was evident to see the love that these two young doctors have for each other, as well as for their family and friends and the nature that surrounds them.
Thank you for trusting us with your wedding day, Neil and Christel. We had the best time!
A review from the couple on their wedding day at Black Oystercatcher Wines:
“We had such a great experience having our wedding at the BOC! It generally has a very family-comfortable feeling. The team has a lot of experience so were super helpful to ask for advice or to double check whether we had thought of everything, and were always ready to help.
Great wine and beer, and coffee (thanks, Stanley). And such a beautiful venue with spots for photos right by the reception area and absolutely beautiful surrounding areas close by that worked great for photos.
The venue itself has amazing interior and design which makes for imaginative décor options.
Accommodation on the venue is also a definite plus. Very, very highly recommended.” – Neil & Christel

The Black Oystercatcher is one of the prettiest venues that we looked at and marrying here was definitely the best choice we could make.
Our Wedding Venue
The wedding venue with a difference
We added a new venue to our centuries-old farmstead in 2016. It’s a venue that merges perfectly with the rich Overberg country: glass doors and windows all around, connecting you to nature.
Exposed brick walls, wooden beams, and a large veranda leading out to the infinity pool. And beyond that, the stretching Agulhas Plain countryside. Find out more.
